This mission is posted as a courtesy to our neighboring Patriot Guard Riders in Minnesota and to show our honor and respect to a veteran that was on the recent Midwest Honor Flight but was not able to return with the flight.

Funeral Visitation
September 30th, 2019
Pipestone, MN
The family of US Army Korean War Veteran Melvin Brockberg has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand with honor, dignity and respect during his funeral visitation in Pipestone on Monday, September 30th.
On Tuesday, September 24th, US Army Korean War Veteran Melvin Brockberg, age 94, boarded the Midwest Honor Flight in Sioux Falls en route to Washington DC. Sadly when the Honor Flight returned to Sioux Falls Tuesday night to a fitting welcome home provided by the South Dakota PGR, Melvin was not on board. He became ill while on the trip and was hospitalized in Arlington, VA where he passed away on Thursday, September 26th at the age of 94.
Itinerary:
5:45 pm: Stage at Kozlowski Insurance at 401 8th Ave SE, which is on the east side of Hwy 75 in Pipestone. There is very limited parking at the funeral home which is across the street so please park at the insurance agency.
6:00 pm: Form flag line at Hartquist Funeral Home.
8:00 pm: Dismissed

Please feel free to come stand the flag line whenever your schedule allows between 6 and 8 pm as we gather to honor US Army Veteran Melvin Brockberg and show our support for his family and loved ones. Bring your 3×5 flag and ride or drive safely to and from this mission.
