With Memorial Day just 3 weeks away, I would like to get you thinking about our annual Silent Vigil.  Each Memorial Day at 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm we stand a silent vigil/flag line at the gravesides of our South Dakota buried men and woman who were killed in action or died as a result of action in the war on terrorism. Locations are Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis and 1 in Rapid CityMembers in that area should contact Steve Dutton at srd5760@yahoo.com or 605-430-3313. East river locations are 2 in Wilmot, SD. 1 in Bradley, SD. 1 in Willow Lake, SD. 2 in Huron, SD. 1 in Forestburg, SD. 1 in DeSmet, SD. 1 in Farmer, SD. 1 in Alexandria, SD. 2 in Parkston, SD. 2 in Sioux Falls, SD.  Anyone wishing to stand at any of these locations, please contact Paul Fiskum at lfiskum@sio.midco.net or paulfhd@gmail.com or 605-366-7073. (I work M-F 8:00 to 5:00 so I may not answer your call. Please leave a message and I will get back to you.)  There are 3 KIA’s in Yankton, SD. To assist there contact Dave Abbott at dlabbott99@hotmail.com or 605-661-6233. I know that can be a busy day/weekend, but please consider this chance to honor these military personnel. It’s great to have several people at any 1 locale, but extremely important to have at least 1 at every locale. There are members who faithfully stand at the same site each year. Thank You for your dedication, but please verify with your area contact that you will do so again this year.  I really need volunteers in the NE sector.
