“Flags Only” Visitation/Memorial Service

   The family of Roger Dewey Dunn has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Roger with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation.  Roger graduated from Beresford High School in 1967 and joined the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1970.  In 1971 Roger joined the Sioux Falls Police Department and he held many positions at the police department: Patrol, Administration, Detective, Records Supervisor and President of the Sioux Falls Bomb Squad. Roger retired in 1998 as a Sergeant.

Roger’s Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., October 17, 2024, at the George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, SD with Public Visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m.  Military Honors will be outside the funeral home following the Memorial Service.  The Memorial Service and Visitation will be “Flags Only”.
