The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Richard “Dick” Duane Olson to show our appreciation and respect to “Dick” with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great Nation. Dick was drafted into the Army and served in the Philippines and Japan. Following discharge, he attended college and started his career as a teacher. He taught math, science, and driver’s education in Howard, SD, and then moved to Sioux Falls where he taught driver’s education for 29 years before retiring in 1985.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 14 at First United Methodist Church, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at George Boom Funeral Home. Flags will be placed by 4:00 pm for the visitation at the funeral home on Friday.
Stage: 9:30 am, Saturday, December 14 at First United Methodist Church, 401 S. Spring Ave in Sioux Falls, SD. Following the service and lunch, inurnment will be in the Hills of Rest Cemetery.
Flags will be provided.
