The Vietnam Vets Legacy Vets MC and the Sioux Falls Vets Council would like to invite the PGR to participate in the arrival, escort and opening/closing ceremonies of the Traveling Vietnam Wall. The event will be at the field just to the East of the Sanford Pentagon. Plans are to place Flags on either side of the road on the “grassy” area as you turn left into the parking lot on the east side of the Pentagon building. The flag line at the Pentagon is for the arrival of the Traveling Vietnam Wall which will leave the VFW at 3:45pm on Wednesday Aug. 5th, 2015. Arrival at the Pentagon should be around 4:15pm. Stage time for the escort will be 3:15pm.
The opening and closing ceremonies are open to the public but they would like to have the Patriot Guard Riders present if they can be there. The Opening ceremony is 7:30pm, August 6th and Closing at 9:00am on August 9th. Any help is very much appreciated. We are hoping that you will be part of this awesome event.
Due to the timing of this event a number of our members have a prior commitment at the Buffalo Chip Freedom Field/Freedom Ride and will not be able to participate, so I am asking for any of our member that are available to help out if you can. Paul Fiskum has volunteered to take the lead on this event and I would like to know that he can expect some assistance. He will post any updates on our PGR Facebook page as they occur, so please check there for those updates as the dates draw near.
