Celebration of Life Service
Saturday, December 2nd, 2017
Sioux Falls, SD
An invitation to participate in the celebration of the life of William M. “Wild Bill” Mourer has been given to the Patriot Guard Riders by his family. We will accept that honor with a flag line showing our respect and appreciation for his service to his country and a life dedicated to his fellow veterans.
Bill entered the U.S. Marine Corps on January 29, 1973 in Omaha, NE. He served in Japan, Okinawa and the Philippines. Bill also graduated from Kubasaki High School in Japan while stationed there. He was honorably discharged on January 28, 1977 at Camp Pendleton, CA. Bill was a true patriot. He initiated and devoted time to a website for veterans, “Our Freedom, Our Heroes”. He was also devoted to the POW-MIA cause and did his best to make certain they were not forgotten.
A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at George Boom Funeral Home & Crematory, Sioux Falls. Bill’s family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. His cremated body was scattered at the Richard S. Mourer Memorial Garden in St. Richard’s Episcopal Cemetery, Round Rock, TX.
