Short Notice Memorial Mission

A request, by the family, for a flag line has come to the PGR for Senior Airman Karlie Ann Westall, age 21, of Mountain Home, Idaho formerly of Harrisburg, SD who died on Saturday, June 16, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident near Boise, ID. The request for a flag line will be fulfilled with our honor, respect and appreciation for Karlie’s service to her and our great country.
Senior Airman Westall was currently serving with Company 366 Operations Support Squadron at Mountain Home Air Force Base and was responsible for providing air traffic control services in the execution of more than 14,000 aircraft operations each year. Always looking for opportunities to help others, she excelled at training new recruits in their duties. Karlie received her elementary education at both Harvey Dunn and Sioux Falls Lutheran. She then attended Harrisburg Middle School and graduated from Harrisburg High School in 2015. She was currently continuing her education through the Air Force at Mountain Home AFB Community College.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 28th, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tea, SD. Graveside services with Air Force Honors will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. Her family will be present to greet friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM a prayer service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM.

Stage for Memorial Service: 12:30 PM, Thursday, June 28th, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 335 W 1st St, Tea, SD.
Stage details for graveside services will come as a separate mission handled by the Rapid City area PGR and Legion Riders.
Flags will be provided for all elements of this Memorial Mission.
