Deployment Event

   A community send-off ceremony will be held for deploying Soldiers with the 147th Forward Support Company on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. in Watertown at the BG Ernie Edwards Readiness Center.

   The following weekend a deployment ceremony is scheduled for the Yankton and Watertown Guard units from the South Dakota Army National Guard’s Bravo Battery, 1-147th Field Artillery Battalion and 147th Forward Support Company on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at the Yankton High School.

   The public is encouraged to attend the event as the units depart for an eight month deployment to Europe.  The units will deploy within European Command’s area of responsibility in support of allied nation partnerships and regional security and stability goals.

Stage: 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9th, 2018 at BG Ernie Edwards Readiness Center, 1951 N. Hwy. 20, Watertown, SD.
