Funeral Mission
December 19 & 20, 2018
Clark, SD

The family of Michael “Mike” Warkenthien has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present at his Funeral Service and to post a flag line in honor and respect for his service to his country and state as a member of the South Dakota Army National Guard.  Michael enlisted in to the United States Army National Guard in 2007. He has served his country honorably since that time. Mike, as he was called by many, loved the National Guard. It is very evident given he was just promoted to Captain and the position of Commander of the Alpha Battery 1-147 Field Artillery Unit- Aberdeen.

Mike Warkenthien, age 35, Sioux Falls, formerly of Clark, died as the result of an industrial accident on Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2018 near Baltic, SD.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the United Methodist Church at Clark.  Visitation will be a “flags only” flag line.   Funeral services will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 2 PM at the Clark High School Gymnasium.  Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark with full military honors.

Stage: 12:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Clark High School Gymnasium, 220 North Clinton Street, Clark, SD.

Flags will be provided for all areas of this mission.
