The family of Daniel Joel Fisher has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Daniel with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation.
Daniel entered the United States Marine Corps from 1997 to 2001 and he exemplified all of the attributes that made him one of the few and the proud. Daniel was always quick to earn trust. His background in logistics and processes allowed him to manage teams of 30 or more with efficiency. During his time in the Marines, he was stationed at Camp Lejune, NC. He later served in the United States Army from 2002 to 2006; during that time was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY, Aviano Airforce Base in Italy, and served on tour in Ballad, Iraq from 2003-2004. Daniel earned his Honorable Discharge in 2006 and then reenlisted in 2013 in the Army and was stationed at Seoul, South Korea, and Ft. Sill, OK. Daniel was stationed at Seoul, South Korea, and Ft. Sill, OK then he went to Ft. Gordon, GA for training for Electrolmag SPC MGR then back to South Korea. He was honorably discharged in 2020.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date at the South Dakota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
