Burial with Military Honors

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Dale Renner to show our appreciation and respect to Dale with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great country. In December of 1952, during the Korean Conflict, Dale joined the Army. After boot camp, Dale was stationed in Silver Springs, MD where he worked as a mechanic in the 70th anti-aircraft artillery (AAA) battery serving in the motor pool. Dale finished his time in the service as Seargent of the Motor Pool and was honorably discharged in March of 1954. Serving his country was very important to him and he stayed connected to the men he served with and was involved with veteran’s activities for the remainder of his years.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Central Church in Sioux Falls. Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, South Dakota. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Visitation and the Funeral Service will be flags only.
