South Dakota Patriot Guard Riders

Funeral/Burial Mission

The family, by personal request of Allen “Pastor Al” Peratt Sr., has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor “Pastor Al”, at his Funeral Service and at his burial service, with a  flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to his community and our great Nation.  Allen joined the Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1971, earning a National Service Medal.  He was chosen to participate in the Veteran’s Honor Flight in October 2023.  He felt this event was one of the most important and humbling of his life.

Pastor Al started Set Free Sioux Falls in 2008.  Set Free ministered to the “Addicted & Convicted and the Depressed & Oppressed.” He was determined to serve God and country and to help people in need.  After he retired from church, it was known that something new would come and that was his chaplaincy at Volunteers of America, Dakotas.  Pastor Al was also known for his love of motorcycles where he could find any reason to minister on his bike.

Funeral Services will be 10:00am Thursday, January 25, 2024 at First Reformed Church, 4800 S. Tomar Road, Sioux Falls, SD.  Visitation with family present will be one hour prior to the service.  Lunch will be served following the service and the Burial/Military Honors will be 2:00pm at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

   First Stage: 8:30am, Thursday, January 25th, at First Reformed Church, 4800 S. Tomar Road, Sioux Falls, SD.

   Second Stage: 1:30pm, Thursday, January 25th, at South Dakota Veterans Cemetery, , 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.
