Honor Mission for
Law Enforcement Officer
Kenneth (Ken) Prorok
Killed in Line of Duty
Ken Prorok, age 51, of Wentworth, tragically passed away in the line of duty on Friday, February 2, 2024.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Chester Area High School Gymnasium in Chester, SD. There will be a prayer service held at 8:00 p.m. following the visitation. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison, SD with burial in Prairie Queen Cemetery at Nunda following the service. A time of fellowship will begin at 12:00 noon on Thursday until the time of the funeral.
The family of Kenneth (Ken) Prorok has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Officer Ken Prorok for his service in Law Enforcement and for his personal life of caring for his family and his community as a coach and roll model.
Ken was Chief Deputy for the Moody County Sheriff’s Office in Eastern South Dakota at the time of his death.
