Burial/Military Honors

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of John DeJong to show our appreciation and respect to John with a flag line in honor of his service to our great country.  Following the completion of his education in 1952, John joined the United States Army, serving in the Korean War.  John received his honorable discharge in 1956 and was proud of his service as a Combat Veteran.

John DeJong, age 90 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Sioux Falls VA.  Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD on Saturday, June 15th, 2024.

Stage: 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 15th at Hills of Rest Cemetery.  Enter the cemetery through the gate in the rear parking lot at George Boom Funeral Home, 3408 E. 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD.

Flags will be provided.
