“FLAGS ONLY”/Funeral Mission
January 3 & 4, 2025

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Rubin Hofer to show our appreciation and respect to Rubin with a flag line in honor of his service to our great country.  Rubin served in the United States Army from August 1951 to June 1953, during the Korean War.  He joined the American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls in 1956 and on March 7, 1962 he joined the Sioux Falls VFW, Post 628.  Rubin was later elected as the commander of VFW, Post 15  from 1974 to 1975.  He loved going to the VFW, where he ran bingo and would swap stories with his friends and fellow veterans.

The visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2025, 5-7 pm at George Boom Funeral Home.  The Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 3rd at 10 am also at the funeral home.  The Funeral Service and Visitation will be “Flags Only”.
