The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of David Lee Knudsen to show our appreciation and respect to David in honor of his service to his Community, State and Nation. In 1971 David was drafted into the United States Army and served two years as military police in Asmara, Ethiopia. David was honorably discharged in November of 1973. He would later join the Army National Guard to continue service to his country until 2011.
The family will be present to greet friends for a Memorial Visitation on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. The Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 also at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be at the SD Veterans’ Cemetery following the Memorial Service. The Memorial Visitation and the Memorial Service will be “Flags Only”.
Stage: 11:30 am, Tuesday, November 25th at South Dakota Veterans’ Cemetery, 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.
Flags will be provided at the cemetery.
