Funeral Mission/Burial & Military Honors

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Glen Vernon Walters to show our appreciation and respect to Glen with a flag line in honor of his service to our Great Nation.  Glen enlisted in the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean Era.  He was also very active in the VFW, serving as past post commander of Post 628 in Sioux Falls and past state commander in 2003.

   Visitation with the family present will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls.  Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the South Dakota State Veterans’ Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

   Stage: 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 2nd at South Dakota Veterans’ Cemetery, 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.

Flags will be provided at the cemetery.
