Funeral Mission w/ Military Honors
January 28 & 29, 2026

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Robert “Bob” Peterka to show our appreciation and respect to “Bob” with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great Nation.  Bob enlisted in the United States Navy in 1960, right after graduation from high school.  Bob was a member of  American Legion Sioux Falls Post 15 and was very proud of his service to his country.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Sioux Falls.  Family will be present to greet friends during visitation on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls.  The Visitation and Funeral Service will be “Flags Only”.

Stage: 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026, at South Dakota Veterans’ Cemetery, 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.
