The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Rudolph “Rudy” Berreth to show our appreciation and respect to “Rudy” with flags displayed in honor of his service to our country. Rudy served in the United States Army during the American occupation of Germany after World War II ended. He enlisted in the Army on November 12, 1946, at Fort Crook, Nebraska. Rudy was a Corporal in the 970th Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC) Detachment which was a critical U.S. Army intelligence unit operating in Europe, responsible for counterintelligence in Germany. Rudy was discharged on June 3, 1948, at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey.
Visitation with the Berreth Family present will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the George Boom Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, also at the George Boom Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be at noon, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at South Dakota Veterans’ Cemetery. Visitation and the Funeral Service will be “Flags Only”.

Flags will be provided at the cemetery.
