Memorial Mission & Burial/Military Honors
Two Part Mission

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of BTC David “Fid” Fiedler, RET to show our appreciation and respect to David with flags posted in honor of his service to his and our great Nation. David joined the United States Navy December 2nd of 1960 and was honorably discharged March 31st of 1982. After his service he returned home to Yankton and in 1983 he joined the Yankton Police Department where he worked until June 1993.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 2, 2026 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial of his cremated remains will be in the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD at 3:00 PM with full Military Honors. The service in Yankton will be “Flags Only”.
