Gene McDonald was the father of Worthington Sector ARC John McDonald and PGR member Patti (Bob) Posivio. I have attached his obituary to this email.

US Marine Korean War Veteran, Eugene “Gene” McDonald, 82, Welcome, MN 15 AUG 2014
The family of US Marine Korean War Veteran Eugene “Gene” McDonald has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand with Honor, Dignity and Respect at his funeral in Welcome, MN on Friday morning, August 15th. Gene served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1955 having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Welcome American Legion Post #553 where he served on its Honor Guard. He also was a member of the Korean Veterans Chapter #254. Gene greatly enjoyed gardening, roofing, fishing, deer hunting, talking politics and loved history.
Staging:
Staging will open at 8:15 am with the mission briefing at 8:45 am at Kortes Bar and Grill on the south end of Welcome. From the Welcome exit #93 on I-90, proceed south to the edge of town to the stop sign at Hwy 26 and turn right (west).
We will stand for the visitation one hour prior to the 10 am service and be dismissed following interment in the cemetery in Welcome. Approximate dismissal will be 12 noon.
The weather forecast for Welcome on Friday is calling for partly cloudy conditions with a high of 84 and a 20% chance of rain. Please bring your 3×5 flag, water and anything else that you need to be self sufficient and ride or drive safely to and from this mission as we gather to pay our respects to this True American Hero.
