The SD National Guard has requested support of the SD Patriot Guard for an activation ceremony on 2 February 2013 at 1000.
Unit:  235th Military Police Company
Location Deploying from:  Rapid City (the unit has a Detachment in Sioux Falls, but all soldiers will be in Rapid City for the ceremony)
Number of personnel deploying:  124
Deployment Location:  Afghanistan
Location of Ceremony:   Stevens High School (Rapid City, SD) Date:  2 Feb 2013
Staging: at the South Canyon Lutheran Church on 44th St in Rapid City at 0845.
Ride Captain for the mission will be Clark Ericks.
Flags will be provided.

******HEADS UP FOR POSSIBLE ADDITION TO THIS MISSION
In addition to Saturday, we also have a possibility of a part two on Sunday.  The unit will be departing for the Airport at 1000 on Sunday morning.  If requested, we will provide an escort to the Airport from the Armory.  A second option would be to set-up a flag line along the route for the soldiers.  I’ll put out a formal announcement once I get word back from the unit.
