The SD National Guard has requested support of the SD Patriot Guard for an activation ceremony on 2 February 2013 at 1000.
Unit: 235th Military Police Company
Location Deploying from: Rapid City (the unit has a Detachment in Sioux Falls, but all soldiers will be in Rapid City for the ceremony) Number of personnel deploying: 124 Deployment Location: Afghanistan
Ride Captain for the mission will be Clark Ericks. Flags will be provided.******Mission Part 2:
Sunday is confirmed. We will be providing escort from the Armory to West Jet at Rapid City Regional Airport. The escort will be departing for the Airport at 1000 on Sunday morning. Staging will be at the armory on Range Rd (just east of Stevens High School) at 0915. If the weather and road conditions are good, we’ll be on the bikes, flags flying for those who have them. (One caution, Airport Rd has a lot of sand on it) For those who have flags set-up on their cages, We’ll take any/all of the flags we can get to provide a proper send-off to our troops.
