“Flags Only” Funeral Mission
February 26 & 27, 2026
Brandon, SD

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Jeffrey “Jeff” Swenson to show our appreciation and respect to “Jeff” with flags posted in honor of his service to his and our great Nation.  Jeff joined the United States Navy in October 1967 until September 30, 1969, when he completed a tour in Vietnam.  He was a proud veteran and lifetime member of the Brandon VFW.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Beaver Valley Lutheran Church in rural Valley Springs, SD. Burial will take place at Beaver Valley Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon, SD.  All elements of this mission will be “Flags Only”.
