The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Norbert “Tip” John Miles to show our appreciation and respect to “Tip” with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great country. Tip served in the United States Army in World War II, from February 1945 to December 1946, when he received his Honorable Discharge.
Tip’s family will be present for visitation on Thursday at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls beginning at 5:00 PM with a liturgical wake service and Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow Mass on Friday, July 19 at the Doland Cemetery at 4:00 p.m., with military rites by Doland American Legion Post 69 and Miles-Davis-Fortin VFW Post of Turton, SD. Visitation on Thursday will be “Flags Only”.
Stage: 3:30 p.m., Friday July 19th at the Rural Doland Cemetery. (1 mi. E. of Doland & 1/2 mi. N. on Hwy. 212.)
