SD Veterans Cemetery

  The family of Luverne “Vern” Fries has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor “Vern” with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation.  After graduation in 1960, Vern enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA where he was honorably discharged in 1963.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 5th from 5-7 pm at George Boom Funeral Home with a Liturgical Wake and Rosary to follow. Funeral Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church on Saturday, April 6th at 11 am.  Interment will be held in a private ceremony Monday, April 8th at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery.  Visitation and the Funeral Service at the church will be “Flags Only”.

   Stage: 8:30 am, Monday, April 8th at the SD Veterans Cemetery, 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.
Flags will be provided.
