   The family of Francis “Fran” Miller has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor “Fran” with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation.  In 1967, Fran enlisted into the United States Army as a Military Intelligence Coordinator and proudly served in Vietnam.  While serving in the United States Army, he was the recipient of the National Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Two Overseas Bars.  He received an honorable discharge in 1970.  Fran also received an award posthumously from the United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs honoring his service to our country.

A Celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a time of sharing stories at 5:00 PM at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory Reception Center in Sioux Falls.  The Celebration of life on Sunday will be “Flags Only”.  Military Honors for Fran will be at 3:00 PM in the SD Veterans Cemetery, Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 and will be with family only.
