Military Honors for:
Michael John Fitzpatrick Sr.
March 27 & 28, 2025

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Michael John Fitzpatrick Sr. to show our appreciation and respect to Michael with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great country. He graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls in 1963.  Later in 1963, he joined the U.S. Navy Reserve and attended boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Training in Chicago, Illinois.  After completing his Basic Training, Michael was called to active duty.  He was stationed in various locations such as California and Okinawa Island.  Michael was very proud of having served in Vietnam from 1964-1966 at Camp Adenir Da Nang East as a Navy Seabee, building roads with heavy equipment.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.  The Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, also at the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls at 1 p.m.  The Visitation and Memorial Service will be “Flags Only”.
