SHORT NOTICE
Burial/Military Honors
August 24 & 25, 2025
SD Veterans Cemetery
Sioux Falls, SD

   The family of Shannon Marie Lechner has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honorShannon with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for her service to our great Nation.  Shannon answered a higher call, after high school, when she enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.  From 1992 to 1997, she served with honor and adventure, stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA and deployed to Korea, Cuba, and Panama.  Though her time in uniform was cut short by military reductions, the pride she carried as a veteran never left her. 

Her memory will be honored at a Memorial Visitation on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD from 2:00-4:00 PM, followed by a service at 4:00 PM and fellowship afterward.  Burial with Military Honors will be the following morning, 11:00 AM, Monday, August 25th, at the SD Veterans Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.  The Memorial Visitation will be “Flags Only”.

Stage: 10:30 AM, Monday, August 25th at the SD Veterans Cemetery, 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.

Flags will be provided.
