Hello everyone!
I hope your life has been full of blessings! It’s hard to believe Memorial Day is a distant past and we’ve already celebrated the 4th of July! On my calendar, that always means it’s time to think forward to the Walk for the Fallen!
If you aren’t aware yet, this year’s walk in Sioux Falls will be on August 8, at 10:00AM, at the Sanford Pentagon. We will walk a one-mile path, and find a restaurant for fellowship afterwards.
I would encourage everyone to take time to visit the Honoring and Healing event the same weekend at the Sanford Pentagon. There’s a traveling Vietnam Wall and rubbing sheets will be available. They are allowing us to piggyback on their event, so we don’t have to find event insurance or fill out a ton of paperwork! I know many of us have a special place in our hearts for Vietnam Vets, so it would be great if we could support them. Their website is here:

I have another request. Would you be willing to spread the word via email to everyone on your lists and on facebook? I will try to reach out as much as I can, but time is drawing near, and I’m in the Denver area. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated!
This year, the walk will be a simple event… We each walk a mile, to honor and remember our fallen military heroes. I will bring pictures of all South Dakota military members who have died as a result of war since 9/11/01. Feel free to bring American Flags, pictures of your loved ones, and anything else to help commemorate this time of honor and remembrance!

Directions to the Pentagon:
The easiest way to go is off of 60th St. North. From I-29, take the 60th Street North exit and go East, until you see J&L Harley Davidson shop. Take a right, which is Westport Ave. You’ll be travelling South for less than a mile… Just look to your left. The first two streets should get you to the Sanford Pentagon.
