   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of LeVerne “Verne” A. Eckman to show our appreciation and respect to “Verne” with a flag line in honor of his service to our great country.  Verne enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was a Teletype Operator.  Having attained the rank of staff sergeant, he served overseas during the Korean War and received his Honorable Discharge in 1955.

A celebration of Verne’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, SD.  His family will be present to greet friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be at a later date.  The celebration of life and Visitation will be “Flags Only”.
