Funeral/Burial w/Military Honors

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Melvin “Mel” Zuehlke to show our appreciation and respect to “Mel” with a flag line in honor of his service to our Great Nation.  “Mel” entered the United States Army during the Korean Era and proudly served his country until receiving his honorable discharge.

Visitation for Mel will be 10:00 am, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church. (4100 S Bahnson Ave., Sioux Falls, SD).  The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will be 1:00 pm at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Sioux Falls, with Full Military Honors.  The Visitation and Funeral Service will both be “Flags Only”.

Stage: 12:30 pm, Monday, December 22nd at Hills of Rest Cemetery, 3408 E. 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD.  Enter the cemetery through the gate in the rear parking lot at George Boom Funeral Home.

Flags will be provided.
