Sioux Falls-Funeral & Burial with Military Honors

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Richard “Dick” Stammer Sr. to show our appreciation and respect to “Dick” with flags posted in honor of his service to his and our great country.  Following graduation from high school, Dick enlisted in the United States Navy ,where he was trained as an Aviation Machinist Mate.  While in the U.S. Navy, Dick was stationed at Whidbey Island (Washington State) and Kwajalein Atoll during the Korean conflict.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at St. Therese Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at George Boom Funeral Home, in Sioux Falls.  Burial with Military Honors will be 2:15 PM at St. Michael Cemetery following the Mass of Christian Burial at the church.  The Funeral and Visitation will be “Flags Only”.

STAGE: 1:45 PM, Wednesday, February 4th at St. Michael Cemetery, 3001 N. Cliff Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.

Flags will be provided at the cemetery.
