Funeral Mass/Military Honors
December 17 & 18, 2025

Sioux Falls, SD

   The family of Milton “Milt” Lathrop has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor “Milt” with  flags showing our appreciation, honor and respect for his service to our great Nation.  Milt enlisted in the SD Army National Guard and was stationed at Fort Sill OK.  After training and earning the rank of Sargent, Milt was put in charge of  the communication with the artillery company where he would give the coordinates for the strikes.

Visitation with the family present will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sioux Falls.  Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the South Dakota Veterans’ Cemetery in Sioux Falls.  Visitation and Funeral Mass will “Flags Only”.

   Stage: 12:30 p.m., Thursday, December 18th at South Dakota Veterans’ Cemetery, 25965 477th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.

Flags will be provided.
