The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Ralph Eugene Johnson Jr. to show our appreciation and respect to Ralph with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great country. In 1955 at the age of 17, Ralph enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During his service, he was stationed in North Africa during the Suez Crisis and later served as a cryptographer at the Air Force base in Madrid, Spain. Ralph was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force on September 1, 1959.
Visitation with the family present to greet friends will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 also at George Boom. The graveside service with Military Honors will be at Woodlawn Cemetery following the funeral service and lunch at the funeral home. The Celebration of Life and Visitation will be “Flags Only”.
