The family of Gary Dwane Voight has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Gary, with flags, showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation. Gary enlisted in the United States Navy after completing high school in 1966. He served honorably aboard the USS Vega until 1970 and returned to his home in Sioux Falls. Serving in the U.S.Navy, was an experience he carried with great pride throughout his life.
His memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at George Boom Funeral Home, in Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, also at the funeral home. Burial at 3:30 p.m. following the Memorial Service, will take place at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls. The Visitation and Memorial Service will be “Flags Only”.
Stage: 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29th at Hills of Rest Cemetery, 3408 E. 10th St. Sioux Falls SD. Enter the cemetery through the gate in the rear parking lot at George Boom Funeral Home.
Flags will be provided.
