The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of James Marvin Buckneberg to show our appreciation and respect to James with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our country. After graduation from high school, James served two years in the United States Navy, as an electrical repairman aboard the USS Ranger during the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be Monday, September 1st, 2025 (Labor Day) with family coming at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at George Boom Funeral Home. The family will be present at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 2nd at East Side Lutheran Church, 1300 E 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD for visitation prior to the Funeral Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will be a lunch at the church prior to departure to the Sioux Riverview Cemetery (1 1/2 mi. S. of Trent, SD), for the Committal with Military Honors. The Visitation and Funeral Service will be “Flags Only”.
