The family of Charles Tienken has requested the Patriot Guard Riders for a flag line honoring Mr. Tienken for his service to his and our great country. Charles entered the U.S. Air Force in September 1950 and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in September, 1954.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory
601 West 21st Street, Yankton, SD and will resume at 10:00 am on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the United Church of Christ (Congregational), 210 West 5th Street, Yankton, SD. The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 am at the United Church of Christ (Congregational) and military rites will follow at the church on Friday. Visitation on Thursday evening will be a “flags only” flag line.
Stage: 9:30 am Friday, March 9, 2018 at the United Church of Christ (Congregational), 210 West 5th Street, Yankton, SD. Military rites will be at 11:30 am following the funeral service at the church on Friday. Burial of his cremated remains will be on Saturday March 10th and there is no request for a flag line at the cemetery.
