Escort/Burial Mission
July 6th, 2026
Elk Point to Vermillion, SD

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Charles “Chuck” Burrell to show our appreciation and respect to “Chuck” with participation in the escort and with flags posted at the cemetery, in honor of his service to his and our great country.  Following graduation from high school, in 1972, Chuck enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Mahan and the USS Dixie.

There will be a brief family service prior to the departure of the escort from Elk Point to Vermillion, for burial at the Bluff View Cemetery

Stage: 9:00 AM, Monday, July 6th, 2026 at Elk Point Baptist Church, 603 Pearl St, Elk Point, SD.

Flags will be posted at the Bluff View Cemetery at the Intersection of Crawford & Pinehurst in Vermillion, SD.
