The Patriot Guard riders have been request by the family of Greg Wagner to help with their memorial event on May 10th in honor of Greg’s life and service to our country. This will be a two part mission this year as there is a walk run in the morning and a memorial ride in the afternoon.
Stage at 0900 hours at the Shell station I90 exit 344, Alexandria, SD. Briefing at 0915 KSU 0930. We will ride to the ball field where the walk portion of the event will start. We will be doing traffic control during the walk which will start at 10:00, the walk will go from the ball field to Lake Hanson and return, (please bring your flags for your bikes). Walk should be done by 11:30.
This year we have been asked to lead the memorial ride that will go from Alexandria, to Parkston, to Mitchell, to Salem, back to Alexandria. We will be stopping at Veterans memorials in each of these towns to place a cross in Greg’s honor. The ride will start at 1300hrs (1:00pm), and should be done by @1630 (4:30pm). Due to the distance being traveled we will not be riding with flags, I will have a place to store your flags during the ride if needed.
