1. The family of U.S. Navy veteran Richard Brown has requested the Patriot Guard and American Legion Riders provide and escort from the Wyoming / South Dakota border to Black Hills National Cemetery and stand a flag line for his inurnment service.
Monday, 17 July 2023
8:00 AM: Stage at Big D gas station in Sturgis
8:15 AM: Depart on I-90 for Wyoming border
9:00 AM: Meet Newcastle, WY Rider escort at the east bound I-90 rest stop just inside South Dakota border.
9:10 AM: All riders (South Dakota and Wyoming) depart for Black Hills National Cemetery.
9:55 AM: Set up flag line.
10:00 AM: Inurnment service begins.
TBD: Flag line stands down and mission complete when service is finished.
2. Flags will be provided.
3. Weather forecast currently shows at high of 79 degrees and 19 percent chance of rain.
4. Normally for these escort missions, we meet Wyoming riders at the gas station in Beulah, WY. Due to heavy I-90 construction at Beulah, the meeting location is changed to the east bound rest stop at mile marker #1 inside South Dakota.
