Funeral Mission/Burial with Military Honors

The family of Byrl “Dean” Swanson has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor “Dean” with flags showing our appreciation, honor and respect for his service to our great Nation. Dean graduated from high school in 1950 and soon after proudly joined the United States Air Force.
Funeral services are 11 AM, Monday, May 11, 2026 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM on Monday at the church. Burial is in Lakeview Cemetery with military honors. Cemetery address: 29201 381 Ave., Lake Andes, SD.
Stage for Mission: 9:00 AM, at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Church St Lake Andes, SD.
Flags will be provided at the church and at the cemetery.
The Ride Captain will have a short briefing prior to the start of the flag line. If there is no one available for a flag line, this mission will be considered “Flags Only” for all elements of this mission.
