The SD Patriot Guard has been notified of the passing of South Dakota’s Gold Star Mother of KIA, SSG Jason Montefering. For any of our members that remember Lorraine and her family, that we had continued contact with through out the years following the loss of Jason, we are posting the obituary information for her Funeral Mass and Visitation.

Obituary
Lorraine Montefering, 82, of Parkston, SD, died Friday, March 31, 2023, at her home in Parkston. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7:00 PM at the Church with a 6:30 PM prayer service. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.
