The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the wife of Edward “Ed” Allen Andersh to show our appreciation and respect to “Ed” with a flag line and escort in honor of his service to his and our great country. Ed was a Senior Ride Captain for the Patriot Guard Riders in the Black Hills area and organized many of the events/missions over the years. He was a very dedicated member of our organization.
Ed’s active duty time was in the U.S. Army and after leaving that duty he entered the SDARNG. When he left the guards he started a career working for the USP&FO which had him still working with and around the military for the majority of his adult life.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 5:00-7:00pm at Kirk Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00am at Kirk Funeral Home with Chaplain David Stimes officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD at 12:00pm.
Stage: 9:00am, mdst, Friday, July 29, 2022 at Kirk Funeral Home, 1051 E. Minnesota Street, Rapid City, SD. (in the parking lot across the street) The escort will be addressed after the funeral.
Flags will be provided.
