Burial/Military Honors for
Emily, U.S. Army & James Kramer, U.S. Navy
Sioux Falls, SD

   The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Emily & James Kramer to show our appreciation and respect to both of them with a flag line in honor of their service to their country.  Emily served in the U.S. Women’s Army Corp during the Korean War, stationed in Newfoundland 1952-1954 working as a Corporal in Communications/Chaplain’s Assistant.  It was during that time that Emily and Jim met and were married.  Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November 1955 and was honorably discharged in October 1959.  (He received a Good Conduct Medal for period ending November 1958).

The family will be present to greet visitors for visitation from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD.  The funeral service will be 11 AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Baltic Lutheran Church in Baltic, SD, followed by a lunch at the church prior to burial at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.  Visitation and the funeral will be “Flags Only”.

Stage: 12:30 PM, Wednesday, November 6th at Hills of Rest Cemetery, 3408 E. 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD.  Enter the cemetery through the gate in the rear parking lot at George Boom Funeral Home.

Flags will be provided.
