“Flags Only” Funeral Mission

The family of Dennis Medd has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Dennis with a flag line showing our appreciation and respect for his service to our great Nation. Dennis served in the US Navy as a Cryptologic Radioman/Technician in a top-secret status. He later joined the Army Reserves and the Maryland Defense Force. Dennis loved his country and was a patriot true to heart.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2023, at East Side Lutheran Church 1300 E. 10th St. in Sioux Falls. Pastor Joel Pakan will officiate with lunch to immediately follow in the church reception hall. Dennis will be laid to rest with full military honors at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present to greet friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Visitation and the Memorial Service will both be “Flags Only”.
