“Flags Only” Funeral Mission
July 31 & August 1, 2023
Sioux Falls & Alexandria, SD

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Vern Markus Brown to show our appreciation and respect to Vern with a flag line in honor of his service to his and our great country.

During years 1957-1968, Vern served full-time in the Army National Guard and then re-enlisted from 1971-1972. He was deployed to the Rapid City Flood Disaster.  With his extreme mechanical mind, his military training included Army Mechanic School at the Aberdeen, MD Proving Ground from Dec 1959-April 1960.  He was a life member of Post 15 American Legion.

Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.  A visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, July 31, 2023 at George Boom Funeral Home.  Due to the burial service being located at rural Alexandria, SD, all elements of this mission will be “Flags Only”.
