Funeral Mission/Military Honors

The family of Ralph DeRaad has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Ralph with flags showing our appreciation and respect for his service to his and our great Nation. Ralph enlisted in the SD Air National Guard and served as an Aircraft Mechanic from 1960-1966.
Visitation with the family present will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. His funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
Stage: 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 31st at Hills of Rest Cemetery, 3408 E. 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD. Enter the cemetery through the gate in the rear parking lot at George Boom Funeral Home.
Flags will be posted 1-1/2 hrs prior to the visitation (Thursday, 7/30, 5:00 PM), and the funeral (Friday, 7/31, 10:00 AM). This is done to have the flags in place and flying when family arrives at the funeral home.
Flags will be provided for the flag line at the cemetery.
