The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Kenneth “Kenny” Olson, Jr. to show our appreciation and respect to “Kenny” with flags posted in honor of his service to his and our great country. In 1966 Kenny entered the United States Army where he completed his Basic Training and then was trained as a clerical typist at Fort Sheridan. He was stationed there until his honorable discharge in 1968.
Family will be present for Visitation on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at George Boom Funeral Home. His Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2026 also, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Interment with Military Honors to follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Sioux Falls.
Flags will be posted 1-1/2 hrs prior to the visitation (5:00 PM), and the funeral (2:00 PM). . This is done to have the flags in place and flying when family arrives at the funeral home.
Stage: 2:30 PM, Wednesday, July 22 at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, 3001 N. Cliff Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD.
Flags will be provided at the cemetery.
