Ambassador for Peace Medal Ceremony

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to the Ambassador for Peace Medal Ceremony which is to be held in the Webster High School Gym on Friday, April 6th, 2018 at 1:00 PM. The Webster School Gym address is 803 East 2nd Street in Webster, SD. Entrance to the gym will be on the east side of the high school on 2nd Street.
There will be 47 Medals presented to Veterans and family members for their service during the Korean War at this time. One of the veterans, Arvid Flagtwet (deceased), that will be honored is the father of one of our members, Greg Flagtwet, who is the web master for our web site and has designed the e-mail notification system. Greg will be accepting the medal for the Flagtwet family. The PGR is also considered guests of the Flagtwet family.
Stage Time for the Event will be 11:30 AM, Friday, April 6, 2018 at the east side of the Webster School Gym, 803 East 2nd St., Webster, SD.
There will be U.S. flags posted outside of the gym prior to the ceremony and the Patriot Guard will be posting our service flags and a POW-MIA flag inside for the ceremony. We plan to have members at the entrance starting one hour before the start of the ceremony. If you are able to attend and have a distance to travel, carpooling would be recommended. To help in organizing the carpooling I am requesting RSVP’s from anyone wanting to drive or ride along if there is room with someone driving from your area.
